BALDWIN, NY — March 6th — At the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Eastern Boulevard, the Baldwin Fire Department responded to a working structure fire. After arriving, firefighters set up a water supply, deployed hose lines, and started suppression operations. While making sure the nearby residents were secure, crews tried to contain the fire and check the building for an extension. When an incident is categorized as a working fire, it usually necessitates a coordinated response that includes ventilation, fire attack, and a thorough search of the building.

To ensure safe and efficient operations, fire departments throughout Nassau County routinely get training for these scenarios. While emergency personnel worked and fire equipment remained stationed on the road, drivers and locals were urged to exercise caution and stay away from the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Eastern Boulevard.
