March 20, 2026 — Gorham Fire & EMS responded Friday afternoon to Pinkham Notch for a reported motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment during snowy conditions.

Initial reports indicated multiple occupants, prompting the request for a mutual aid ambulance from Bartlett Jackson EMS. Upon arrival, crews found one vehicle positioned in a way that prevented the occupant from safely exiting.

Firefighters utilized the winch on Rescue 1 to reposition the vehicle, allowing crews to gain access and safely assist the driver out. The patient was then evaluated and transported to Memorial Hospital by Bartlett Jackson EMS.

Emergency personnel remained on scene until both vehicles were removed by a wrecker from Mr. Auto in Berlin, with assistance from Jackson Police and New Hampshire State Police.

Officials remind motorists that even as spring approaches, rapid snow events can create hazardous and slippery road conditions, increasing the risk of accidents.
