Weekly Report Shows Range of Calls for Arkport Volunteers

The Arkport Hose Co. #1 Inc. has released their weekly call review for March 8th to March 14th, which includes several EMS calls, a mutual aid fire call, and a motor vehicle accident.


On March 9th, workers responded with the Hornell Fire Department ambulance to North Ridge Drive in the Village of Arkport for a patient suffering from cardiac difficulties. The patient was transferred to St. James Hospital.


On March 10th, firefighters were dispatched to provide mutual aid to a possible structure fire on County Route 52 in Burns. Crews ensured the fire was extinguished and searched for any further spread before handing over the area to the Steuben County Sheriff's Office and New York State Police. Additional EMS calls were handled the same day, including a pacemaker alert and a diabetic emergency. On March 12th, firefighters responded with mutual aid to a two-car crash in Hornellsville. No injuries were reported.
