Wind Conditions Keep Kendall Fire Department Busy

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On March 17, the Kendall Fire Department responded to many service calls as high winds swept through the neighborhood. Since early in the day, firemen have responded to numerous incidents, the majority of which were wind-related damage throughout the city.

Crews remained on standby throughout the evening, prepared to respond to additional requests if necessary. Department officials congratulated members for their ongoing commitment and willingness to react whenever the community called. Firefighters also encouraged citizens to use caution in windy situations and to report hazards like toppled trees or power wires to 911 so that emergency services can respond safely.
