HOGANSBURG, N.Y. — March 3rd — The Hogansburg Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department aided Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police and Akwesasne Mohawk Ambulance on a search and rescue call for a patient in a densely wooded area. Crews responded with two drones.
One drone conducted an overhead search and offered an overview of the incident area, while another drone operated from within the department's FAT Truck to aid in pathfinding and halo operations. The coordinated effort allowed responders to locate the patient and safely remove them from the wooded terrain. The patient was then transferred to Akwesasne Mohawk Ambulance and transported to the hospital.
