2 Cars Take HEAVY Damage In Mastic!

Mastic NY - On Saturday March 13th at around 9:25am the Mastic Fire Department was activated for a 2 car MVA at McGraw ST & NB William Floyd Parkway.
Gene Martucci who is Chief 31 (5-12-31) was on scene and confirmed he had a 2 car MVA with a lot of debris and fluids in the road.
Engine 2 (5-12-2) was the first engine on scene then moments later Mini pumper 5 (5-12-5), and utility 9 (5-12-9) with 70 on board (Rudy Sunderman) (5-12-70) arrived on scene.
Chief 31 then requested a RUSH on fire police to shut down William Floyd Parkway.
While fire police kept the road shut down The crew from engine 2 cleaned up the fluids and secured 2 cars and cleaned up debris. Unit 5 assisted with traffic control at the exit by chase bank and Applebee's. The Mastic ambulance was also on scene to check out the occupants that were involved in the car accident. The road was reopened within 30 minutes of the initial 911 call.
