Broadalbin, NY — March 16th — At 6:15 a.m., the Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company responded to a mutual aid fire service call with the Perth Volunteer Fire Company regarding a suspected transformer fire near solar fields.
The event occurred near the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District campus on County Highway 107 in the town of Perth. Broadalbin-Kennyetto units responded to support Perth personnel.
Following an assessment, a Perth incident commander established that the situation concerned electrical equipment and worked with the National Grid. The situation was turned over to the power company to resolve the transformer issue. Broadalbin-Kennyetto units were then relieved from the call and resumed service.
