Vehicle Crashes Into Tree on Mountain Road, No Injuries Reported
Buchanan Valley, PA - On 5th march shortly after 4:30 p.m., Buchanan Valley Volunteers were dispatched to the 100 block of Mountain Road (Box 27-5) following reports of a vehicle accident involving a car that had struck a tree.
Rescue Engine 27 responded with a crew of three personnel, while Engine Tanker 27 followed with four. Upon arrival, Rescue Engine 27 confirmed that a single vehicle had collided with a tree. Fortunately, no injuries were reported at the scene, leading to Engine Tanker 27 and EMS units being placed back in service.
While awaiting the arrival of a tow truck, the vehicle began emitting smoke from the engine compartment. As a precaution, a hose line was deployed to cool the area. The situation was quickly brought under control, and Rescue Engine 27 returned to service shortly thereafter.
