March 1, 2026 — Allamuchy Fire Department responded to a reported smoke condition on Meadowlark Lane at approximately 2:56 p.m., which was quickly upgraded to a working structure fire. Engine 91-61, Ladder 91-69, and Tender 91-71 arrived within minutes, with Chief 91 confirming a garage fire upon arrival. Crews immediately deployed handlines and initiated an aggressive interior attack while additional personnel conducted primary searches and extensive overhaul operations. The fire was brought under control with no reported injuries to occupants or firefighters. Mutual aid from multiple surrounding departments played a critical role in the operation, along with standby support from the Allamuchy Green First Aid Squad for firefighter rehabilitation. While units remained on scene, a second incident was reported at 5:04 p.m.—a rollover motor vehicle crash with entrapment on Route 80 westbound. Responding mutual aid crews, along with Allamuchy Rescue 91-75, worked together to successfully extricate the trapped occupant. Officials noted that all responding personnel are volunteers and emphasized the importance of community support for local fire departments. The cause of the structure fire remains under investigation by the Mount Olive Fire Marshal’s Office.
