Woman Rescued from Raging House Fire in Central Islip

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - The Central Islip Fire Department and surrounding mutual departments responded to a working house fire at 166 Oakland Avenue just after 9:15 P.M. on Tuesday, March 14th.


Under the command of 3-7-30, firefighters rescued one occupant from the house via the exposure #4 side window, and put multiple hoselines into operation to extinguish the wind-driven fire.


The cause of the fire is under investigation.
