REAR OF BUILDING CATCHES FIRE

PATCHOGUE NY. Early Saturday night Patchogue Fire department responded to a structure with flames visible from the back of the building .Mutual aide were started for Patchogue EMS along with Hagerman and N Patchogue departments were activated for additional personnel to the scene. The area was vert tight with store fronts and alley ways causing staging issues. Somehow the driver of N Patchogues truck was able to maneuver the big rig into a very small area between buildings while handlines were being put to work inside the converted building. Firefighters were able to pull a dog from the building which succumbed to the fire. all units were able to take up about 1 hr later. SCPD Arson squad and crime scene responded for a investigation.
