Structure Fire for Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY - On March 11th, the Jamestown Fire Department was dispatched to 303 West 5th St. for a reported structure fire in a 7th floor apartment. Car 1 went on scene, reported a working fire, and requested an off-shift of 20 plus 1. Car 1 requested the first engine manned to report to the fire scene. Some residents needed assistance with evacuation to get out of the structure. The cause of the fire was ruled accidental, related to unattended cooking on the stove.
