BLAUVELT, NY - The Blauvelt Volunteer Fire Company responded at about 6:30 a.m. on February 19th to a reported vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Western Highway and Sgt. Demeola Road. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a vehicle on its side, with one occupant trapped inside. Crews quickly began extrication procedures and securely removed the individual from the vehicle. The patient was transported to the South Orangetown Ambulance Corps for evaluation and treatment.
