The top dozen responders were then called to the front of the room, and each of them were presented with Firefighter of the Year plaques for the service they provided throughout the 2023 year.
Chief Dorrmann then asked the Fire Police to come up with and Tyler Scott and his mother. Chief Dorrmann presented Tyler and Steve Scott's widow with a plaque with Steve's badge on it and Fire Policeman of the Year. Steve passed away last year and was a big part of the fire department.
