Roof collaspe triggers UASI Task Force in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ - The Paterson Fire Department was dispatched to a abandoned bus garage on Madison and 16th Avenues in the late morning of March 10, 2010 to investigate a roof collaspe. A area of approximately 100 by 50 foot section of a wood bowstring truss had collapsed.

Fearing that a worker or a vagrant might have been buried in the debris, fire department officials launched a search and activated NJ UASI Task Force 1 bringing in numerous special operations rescues.

K-9 search dogs were also used and all searches proved negative.
