Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company Responds to Serious Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 60

February 1, 2026 — On the evening of February 1, the Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company responded to a serious two-vehicle crash on Route 60 near Cassadaga Valley Central School.


Due to the scale of the incident, multiple agencies responded and worked together to manage the scene and provide patient care. Fire departments from Gerry, Cassadaga, and Ellington assisted Sinclairville crews during the response.

Medical support was provided by Chautauqua County EMS units M71, M74, M70, and EMS4, along with STAT MedEvac. Law enforcement and scene safety were handled by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Fire Police units, and the New York State Department of Transportation.


Road closures were established at Sinclair Drive, Maple Avenue, and surrounding areas to allow crews to safely operate and manage the incident. Officials expressed appreciation to all mutual aid partners for their professionalism and coordinated efforts throughout the evening. The department also thanked the community for their patience during the response and roadway closure.


The department noted that its thoughts remain with the individuals and families affected by the incident and asked the community to keep them in their prayers while respecting their privacy.
