Hook & Ladder Responds to Two Working House Fires in Consecutive Days

Nassau, NY - On 10th February 2026 at approximately 4:12 a.m., members of Hook & Ladder were alerted to a house fire on Verbena Avenue, just down the block from the firehouse. Tower Ladder 123 (TL123) arrived first due and encountered fire showing from the second-floor windows.
The response followed another working fire the previous evening on Super Bowl Sunday at around 9:00 p.m., when Hook & Ladder units were dispatched to 245th Street in Bellerose Terrace. Crews discovered fire in the walls of a 2.5-story private dwelling and operated to bring the situation under control.
