KINGSTON, NY - In the Town of Ulster, firefighters from the Ulster Hose Co. responded to a reported house fire on February 10th. The Ulster Police Department arrived and reported a well-involved structure fire while units were on their way. Car 1 brought more personnel, mutual aid assistance, and utilities to the area after requesting a working fire assignment.
When firefighters arrived, they discovered a one-story, 25-by-35-foot house with fire coming from the number four side and a lot of smoke throughout. Engine 3 arrived first, then Engine 4, which set up a water supply and secured a hydrant. Crews launched a fire attack after stretching two handlines. Other departments helped with overhaul, ventilation, and searches. The scene was eventually given to investigators once the fire was contained and searches up negative.
