KINGSTON, NY - Ulster Hose Co. firefighters provided mutual aid to the Sawkill Fire Department in response to a second alarm structure fire, February 10th. Officers on scene reported a one-story single-family residence with a fire in the attic and smoke coming from the top. Ulster Hose's Engine 4 arrived on scene, and workers helped Sawkill firefighters with their suppression efforts. Before starting overhaul to look for any leftover hot spots, firefighters worked to contain the attic fire and stop it from spreading to other areas of the structure. After about 1.5 hours of operation, Ulster Hose units cleared the area and resumed their duties.
