Arkport Hose Co. Reports Weekly Call Activity

Arkport, NY — February 13th — Throughout the week, Arkport Hose Company No. 1, Inc. responded to many calls while performing routine equipment checks and maintenance. On February 8th, at 12:17 PM, Hornell City Ambulance responded to Sharps Hill Road in the Town of Hornellsville for a 63-year-old female with chest pain, high blood pressure, and a cardiac history. Medic 2, Car 2, and Car 201 all responded.
On February 9th, Arkport was requested to provide mutual aid to a reported structure fire at St. James Hospital on Seneca Road in North Hornell. Units were later held in quarters when North Hornell Car 27 reported no finds. On February 13th, at 9:25 a.m., Hornell City Ambulance responded to Industrial Park Drive for a 38-year-old male experiencing chest pain and a probable heart attack. Later same day, at 2:24 PM, Medic 2 and Car 2 responded with Dansville Ambulance to State Route 36 in the Town of Dansville for a 75-year-old female who was unwell.
During the week, members also performed routine truck checks and washed equipment to remove salt and debris gathered from winter activities.
