ALLENTOWN, PA - On the sub-freezing morning of January 31st, fire destroyed a three-story twin home at 607 S. 6th St. in Allentown.
On arrival, the FD had heavy fire showing from the second and third floors, which quickly escalated to a third alarm. The adjoining vacant twin also became well-involved.
Both homes received a lot of damage and had to be demolished, causing the displacement of the one resident.
As firefighters were battling the fire, two members were injured: one with a burn, the other with a twisted ankle.
