All people exited the home safely, and no injuries were recorded.

Several agencies contributed to the coordinated effort, including Tompkins Corners Fire Department, Horseheads Fire Department, Town & Country Fire Department, Corning Joint Fire District, Golden Glow Fire Department, Beaver Dams Fire Department, New York State Police, Chemung County 911, NYSEG, the Big Flats Water Board, and Red Cross Disaster Relief. Officials also reminded residents that regular heating system maintenance, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and having two ways out of every home are key parts of fire safety planning.
