Multiple Departments Respond to Structure Fire with Exposures; No Injuries Reported
Westfield, PA - On 22 February 2026, Crary Hose, Knoxville Fire, Clymer Fire, Elkland (RIT), and Sabinsville Ambulance were dispatched to a reported structure fire with exposures. Upon arrival, Chief 5 found the structure well involved, with nearby exposures threatened and reports of explosions.
Engine 5-3 arrived shortly after and crews deployed both a 2½-inch and a 1¾-inch hose line to begin defensive operations. Tankers 5-5 and 6-5 responded to support Engine 5-3, providing additional water supply.
Patrol 16-4 accessed the driveway on the B side of the structure and stretched a 1¾-inch hose line supplied by Engine 6-2 and 16-2. Rescue 3-8 arrived on scene and provided additional manpower for fire suppression and overhaul operations.
Command initially requested Chatham for an additional tanker response; however, those orders were later changed to have them stand by for Stations 5 and 6.
Crews were able to bring the fire under control quickly and remained on scene for overhaul. No injuries were reported.
Chief Goltz extended thanks to all responding departments and assisting agencies, including Tioga County Dispatchers, PennDOT, and the standby department, for their coordinated efforts.
