Crews Respond to Two-Vehicle Crash on SR-500

On February 6, Chiefland Fire Rescue, Levy County Department of Public Safety, and the Chiefland Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of SR-500 and East Park Avenue.
Crews came and began assessing patients while securing the area and inspecting for risks. Southbound lanes of SR-500 were briefly closed to allow responders to safely manage the incident and provide patient care. The crash remains under investigation by the Chiefland Police Department.
