February 27, 2026 — The Franklin Fire Company responded to two separate vehicle accidents overnight, keeping crews busy while most residents were asleep. The first incident occurred just before midnight at the Sheetz along Lincoln Way East, where a tractor-trailer reportedly took a turn too sharply, striking a utility pole. Emergency personnel arrived promptly to secure the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the crash.
The second accident was dispatched at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Warm Spring Road at Tallow Hill Road. Dense fog in the area is believed to have contributed to the two-vehicle collision. Crews assessed those involved, with minor injuries reported and one individual transported for further medical evaluation. Fire Police on scene also reported downed stop signs as a result of the crash, which were subsequently addressed by Hamilton Township authorities. Both scenes were cleared after crews ensured roadway safety and managed traffic control.
