Two Rescued in Allentown Blaze

Allentown, PA - At 10:36 a.m. on 2/22/26, the AFD was dispatched to 227 N. 17 th St. for a fire with possible entrapment in a three story duplex. On arrival, flames were coming out the side window and a search for victims was started. A second alarm was requested along with additional paramedics. One victim was found unconscious on the second floor and carried out of the building by firefighters, a second victim was removed via a ground ladder. A total of sixteen people were displaced and the building was placed unhabitable after the fire. The fire was placed under control in about twenty minutes with no reported injuries to firefighters. The rescued two victims were reported to be in serious condition.
