February 25, 2026 — Bayville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 remained fully staffed and operational throughout the recent winter weather event, responding to multiple emergencies across Berkeley Township despite hazardous conditions. Firefighters answered a range of calls, including weather-related incidents, fire alarms, vehicle fires, and other requests for assistance, while coordinating closely with Bayville EMS, Berkeley Township Police, and Berkeley Department of Public Works. Snow-covered roadways, freezing temperatures, and reduced visibility created challenging operating conditions, but crews continued to provide prompt and professional service to ensure community safety. Department officials thanked their volunteer members for their dedication and commitment during the storm and reminded residents to continue exercising caution as cleanup efforts progress.
