February 6, 2026 — Members of the Hope Volunteer Fire Department - Station 38 completed their biennial CPR recertification, reinforcing their commitment to lifesaving skills and emergency readiness.

The department thanked Lorrie Koonz of L3 Safety Training for facilitating the comprehensive training session. Firefighters are certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED use for adults, children, and pediatric patients, ensuring they are prepared to respond effectively across a range of medical emergencies.

In addition to CPR recertification, members participate in annual refreshers covering oxygen administration, Narcan deployment, and bloodborne pathogen protocols, maintaining high standards of care for the community they serve.
