CERT Training Open in Charlotte County

Charlotte County Emergency Management reported that there are still opportunities for its next Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training. The free in-person training will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 11th and 13th at the Public Safety Complex, 26571 Airport Road.

The three-day training focuses on disaster preparedness, fire safety, light search and rescue, disaster medical operations, and emergency communications. The program is intended to enable residents securely aid their family, neighbors, and community during an emergency.

Participants must attend all three days to gain certification; make-up sessions are offered if necessary. Officials stated that the course promotes community resilience and increases local preparation. Register today: https://signup.com/go/OMMVPzL
