Firefighters Extricate Driver After Crash at SW 20th Street and SW 27th Avenue

(OCALA, FL.) Feb. 24, 2022 – On Thursday, Feb. 24, at approximately 1:02 p.m., Ocala Fire Rescue's Engine 4, Rescue 4, Squad 7, Battalion Chief 11, and a Safety Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident at SW 20th Street and SW 27th Avenue.
Upon arrival, units found a Dodge pickup truck with moderate front-end damage and a Mitsubishi SUV with moderate driver's side damage. The driver of the Mitsubishi needed extrication.
Crews removed both driver's side doors to enter the Mitsubishi and access the patient. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to the hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
