February 19, 2026 — The Auburn Fire Department formally bid farewell to Battalion Chief Michael Scott this morning as he concluded a distinguished 30-year career in the fire service. Chief Scott’s tenure with the department was marked by unwavering dedication, leadership, and a deep commitment to both his fellow firefighters and the Auburn community. Throughout his three decades of service, he earned the respect of colleagues by consistently demonstrating professionalism, mentorship, and a willingness to step forward whenever help was needed. Department members expressed gratitude for his steadfast leadership and the pride he took in his crew and the organization as a whole.
