LEESBURG, FL — February 21st — Sean Murphy of the Leesburg Fire Department has completed the One Bad Tour (OBT) X training program, which is a difficult 24-hour course that focuses on high-intensity, hands-on firefighting abilities and endurance.
The OBT program tests members with live fire evolutions, rapid intervention team (RIT) drills, and physically challenging scenarios designed to improve strength, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure. The training is well-known in the fire department for challenging firemen to function while exhausted, replicating real-world emergency situations. Murphy's dedication to professional development and operational readiness was recognized by his colleagues at Professional Firefighters of Leesburg, Local 2957.
