Mutual Aid Responds to Collins Structure Fire

COLLINS, GA — January 20th — A structure fire on Hickory Hollow Lane near Collins was reported, and the Reidsville Fire Department, located at 117 Tattnall St., Reidsville, GA, along with multiple mutual aid organizations, responded. Crews promptly started suppression operations after the first responding unit reported substantial flames coming from the house. Collins Fire Department, Tattnall County Fire, Smith State Prison Fire, Rogers State Prison Fire, and Tattnall County EMS were among the agencies that provided assistance.


After bringing the fire under control in roughly twenty-five minutes, firefighters stayed on the scene to completely overhaul and put out hotspots. There were no reported injuries. The house is regarded as a complete loss after suffering severe fire, smoke, and water damage. The family stated that multiple animals were missing, and the source of the fire is still being investigated.
