At 11:46 hours the box assignment was dispatched to Box 704 at 559 N Front St for reports of a fire in a bedroom. Car 4 arrived to find smoke showing from the 3rd floor of a 2 1/2 story middle of the row dwelling and declared a working fire. Engine 3 stretched a single 1 3/4” handline into the house and up the stairs. Crews had water in the fire in less than 3 minutes of arriving on scene. The fire was quickly brought under control as crews performed overhaul and vented smoke out of the dwelling. Companies were on scene for just over an hour before turning the incident over to the Fire Marshal’s Office.
