On January 19, Escambia County Fire Rescue responded at 10:06 p.m. to a reported mobile home fire in the 1500 block of North 50th Avenue. Engine 11, Ladder 12, Engine 17, Engine 16, Squad 3, Battalion Chief 2, and Safety 4 were dispatched.

Firefighters arrived to find light smoke coming from a single-wide mobile home. During an internal inspection, firefighters discovered a fire in the ceiling region. Water was rapidly poured, halting the spread and reducing damage to a small area of the building. The home was deemed safe for reoccupation following repairs. There were no injuries or fatalities reported. The fire was caused by an electrical issue affecting a ceiling light. Escambia County EMS and the Escambia County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
