LEDYARD, CT - On the morning of January 15th, the Ledyard and Gales Ferry Fire Companies, along with American Ambulance, were dispatched to Rt 117, just south of Rose Hill Rd., for a vehicle accident with entrapment. Due to the close proximity of the Preston town line, an engine from the Poquetanuck station was also requested to assist. Companies arrived on scene to find one vehicle on its side with one patient still in the vehicle. It took personnel approximately 15 minutes to remove the patient from the vehicle. Care was transferred over to the crew from American Ambulance and the patient was transported with minor injuries.
