Firefighters Extricate Driver After Crash in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, CT - A car crash with alleged entrapment on Moosup Pond Road, close to Putnam Road, was responded to by the Plainfield Police Department, American Legion Ambulance, and the Atwood Hose Fire Company on January 29th.
EMS assessed both drivers while firefighters began extrication in one of the vehicles. In less than 10 minutes, crews securely extracted the trapped driver using hydraulic rescue tools.
While the second driver refused medical attention, one patient with minor injuries was taken to a nearby hospital. The road remained closed while crews secured the scene and removed both vehicles.
