The Lewiston Fire Department will hold a free Car Seat Safety Event at Fire Station #4, 55 North Temple Street, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. No appointment or registration is required for this program, which is open to all families. Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will help caregivers with installation, inspection, and education on how to use child restraint systems. According to officials, research reveal that many car seats are placed wrongly, increasing the risk of damage after a catastrophe.
