On February 6, 2026, Bantam Fire Company’s Tanker 33 assisted Litchfield Engine 4 in filling the Town of Litchfield’s new community skating rink at Community Field. Fire department personnel utilized tanker apparatus to supply a steady flow of water to help prepare the outdoor rink for freezing conditions, ensuring it will be ready for public use. The collaborative effort highlights the continued partnership between neighboring departments and their commitment to supporting community initiatives beyond emergency response. Once operations were complete, crews returned to service.
