Goshen Fire Company Mourns the Passing of Past Fire Police Chief Jack Smith

February 9, 2026 —Goshen Fire Company announced with deep sadness the passing of Past Fire Police Chief and life member Jack Smith, a dedicated public servant whose leadership and commitment left a lasting impact on the department and the community he faithfully served. Smith joined the fire company in January 2003 and quickly became a respected and active member. He served as Fire Police Chief from 2011 through 2019, guiding the unit with steady leadership and professionalism. At the time of his passing, he continued to serve as Deputy Chief of Administration for the Fire Police and was an active member of the Relief Association Board of Directors. Colleagues remember Smith for his thoughtful approach to leadership, his unwavering dedication, and his passion for community service. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Donahue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, where friends, family, and fellow firefighters will gather to honor his life and legacy.
