Ravena FD Rescues Cat Stuck in Tree in Freezing Weather

COEYMANS HOLLOW, NY - The Ravena Fire Department responded with Ladder 26-70 on January 24th to assist the Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corp. with an animal rescue of a cat stuck in a tree. Local folks discovered the cat the day before and returned when they heard it again in freezing weather. After analyzing the situation, the ladder company was requested for aerial access. Ladder 26-70 positioned itself on the street and deployed the aerial gadget. A firefighter ascended and carefully captured the animal. The cat was brought to crews from the Ravena Rescue Squad, who supplied warming packs and blankets. The Albany County Sheriff's Office assisted at the site.
