Vehicle Crashes into Cambridge Building; No Injuries Reported

CAMBRIDGE, MA - On January 19th, a car crashed into a building on Erie Street, prompting the Cambridge, Massachusetts Fire Department to respond. Group 2 included Engine 2, Ladder 3, Squad 2, Rescue 1, and Division 1. Crews assessed the building for damage, steadied the vehicle, and looked for any dangers.
In addition, firefighters made sure the area was safe for both responders and residents by securing utilities as a precaution. Pro EMS, Cambridge Inspectional Services, MIT Police, and Cambridge Police provided on-scene assistance. Inspectional Services evaluated the structure to decide what to do next. The cause is still being looked into.
