Bridgewater Opens Doors to New Fire Station

BRIDGEWATER, MA — February 1st — The Bridgewater Fire Department hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new fire station, followed by a public open house for residents.

Robert Rulli, Director of Community and Economic Development, acted as Master of Ceremonies. Matthew Rushton, Chair of the Fire Station Building Committee, Town Council President Johnny Loretti, State Representative Dennis Gallagher, and Reverend Gary Blume all offered remarks. Senator William Driscoll Jr. and Plymouth County Commissioner Sandra Wright both issued official citations to the agency. Throughout the occasion, members of the BFD Honor Guard and firefighters led station tours. Bridgewater State University supplied shuttle transportation, the Bridgewater Police Department handled traffic, and the local CERT team helped. The department reported a high turnout from the community.
