LISBON, ME — February 4th — At 12:07 a.m., the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office dispatch center received a call of a fully engaged structure fire on Reed Road in Durham. Durham Car 2 arrived and confirmed a major fire throughout the house. Due to the rural location and restricted hydrant access, a first-alarm tanker assignment was requested.
The Lisbon Fire Department joined the tanker task force, assisting with water delivery and fire suppression efforts. Crews labored for more than eight hours to contain and put out the fire. One tenant was relocated, and the house was deemed a total loss. There were no injuries recorded. Mutual help partners were Freeport Fire Rescue, Brunswick Fire Department, and Pownal Fire and Rescue Department, New Gloucester Fire Rescue, and North Yarmouth Fire Rescue. The cause remains under investigation.
