Firefighters Wear Red in Support of Troops and Families

Windham Center, CT — February 6 —The Windham Center Fire Department observed the day by demonstrating support for deployed service troops and their families who are waiting for their return. Members wore red as a sign of recognition and solidarity with those serving away from home. Fire officials noted that many in the emergency services community have close ties to the military, making support for deployed personnel especially meaningful.
