City of Newburgh FD Responds to Structure Fire on Henry Avenue

NEWBURGH, NY - City of Newburgh FD responded to a reported structure fire at 12:49 on February 4th at 68 Henry Ave. Units arrived on scene and found heavy fire and smoke. Newburgh requested a second alarm to be sounded. Mutual aid responded from West Point, Air Guard, Beacon, and New Windsor. The fire was knocked down. Cronomer Valley and Middle Hope FD stood by at the Public Safety Building. Newburgh rehired Engine 10. Deputy Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-14 was on scene. City of Newburgh Police blocked off the area. Empress EMS stood by on scene. Firefighters began overhauling the premises. Cause and Origin was called to the scene. The fire is under investigation. Residents were able to get out of the house safely.
