Mutual Aid Supports Norfolk Incidents on Main and North Streets

Franklin, MA — February 7th — In a brief amount of time, the Franklin Fire Department, located at 40 W Central St., provided assistance to the Norfolk Fire Department during a number of emergency situations. In addition to a reported rollover with potential entrapment, Norfolk Fire was called to a three-vehicle collision on Main Street. A complete recall was transmitted since Norfolk Ambulance 1 was already engaged to another emergency. Norfolk Engine 2 and C2 arrived in response to Franklin Engine 1 and Ambulance 1. Although it wasn't required, a medical helicopter was kept on standby. Ambulance 1 from the Walpole Fire Department also arrived. No injuries were reported in the evaluation of three patients. A second crash and a medical call were also handled without any injuries while firefighters were on the scene.
