Amherst, MA — February 4th — Amherst Fire and EMS invited members of Nashua Fire Rescue and its SMART Hazmat Team for the department's monthly in-house training session. The session was open to local mutual-aid partners such as Milford Fire Department, Brookline Fire Department, Hollis Fire Department, and Mont Vernon Fire Department. Souhegan Valley Regional Chief Rick Todd was also in attendance. The SMART Team reviewed deployment procedures, response considerations, and demonstrated the capabilities of their Special Hazards truck.
