February 6, 2026 — The Cocoa Beach Fire Department recently marked an important milestone by officially welcoming four new firefighters as sworn members of the department: Joel Thomas, Jeff Crawford, Jon Grasso, and Jaeger Vogt.

Each firefighter arrived at this moment through a unique journey defined by dedication, perseverance, and commitment to public service. Joel, Jeff, and Jon completed a full year of training, service, examinations, and their probationary period, while Jaeger, who has served with the department longer, successfully passed his exam last summer and was formally sworn in alongside his peers during the department’s awards ceremony.
