Carver, MN — January 8th — An electrical fire involving a chicken coop was called to by Carver Fire early in the morning. Early on in the incident, crews arrived and promptly put out the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring regions. Although there were damage to the coop, no injuries were reported, and every animal was present.
Early detection and a timely reaction, according to fire officials, helped reduce damage. Small outbuilding electrical fires are more frequent in the winter and are frequently caused by outdated wiring, heat lamps, or illumination. Throughout the neighborhood, the Carver Fire Department frequently responds to events involving homes, businesses, and farms. In order to lower the risk of fire, particularly during cold weather activities, fire officials advised property owners to regularly check the electrical systems in barns, sheds, and coops.
